Donations (Draft)
Dear Cumberland County residents,
We’re former Cumberland County residents but we continue to care deeply about the well-being of this community. We hope you’ll join us in supporting the News Foundation of Greater Fayetteville on GivingTuesday.
Recent decades have brought enormous change to America’s news media, including in our own community. Across the nation, many communities have become “news deserts,” meaning they have no local media coverage, leaving them few ways to learn what decisions and actions are being taken by those in charge of local institutions.
We can’t allow that to happen here. That’s why we both joined the board of the News Foundation of Greater Fayetteville, the 501(c)(3) nonprofit that supports strong news reporting in the Greater Fayetteville region. And that’s why we’ve made a financial commitment to the fund.
Please review the information below. We urge you to unite with others who understand the importance of remaining an informed and involved community.
Wishing you and your family a safe and festive holiday season.
Cordially,

Margaret Dickson
Former Fayetteville business owner and Cumberland County legislator
