Cumberland Community Foundation provides training for local nonprofits

For three days in April, the Cumberland Community Foundation provided training for twenty-five local nonprofit leaders.  Board member, Alisa Evans Debnam, attended the three-day training – Planned Giving: Getting the Proper Start, presented by Indiana University’s Lily Family School of Philanthropy.  Attendees learned how to identify multiple planned gift vehicles, understand the tax benefits of varying gifts of assets, and begin marketing planned giving options. Alisa is looking forward to putting her learned skills to work, she currently serves on the Development Committee.
